These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the AlefBet — Hebrew Translator mobile application ("App") developed by Polina Dmitrieva ("Developer", "we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
By accessing or using AlefBet, you confirm that you are at least 4 years of age (or have parental consent), have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms of Service.
You may not:
Free Tier: The App is available for free with limited features, including a limited number of AI-powered translations per day.
AlefBet Pro: A paid subscription unlocks unlimited AI translations, unlimited favorites, and removes limitations. Subscription options include:
Free Trial: New subscribers may be eligible for a free trial period. The trial automatically converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancellation: You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings. No refunds are provided for the current subscription period upon cancellation.
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policy.
The App uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate translations and explanations for words not found in our local dictionary. AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. We strive to improve accuracy but do not guarantee that all translations are correct.
If you find an incorrect translation, please use the in-app "Report a Problem" feature. Do not rely solely on this App for critical or professional translation needs.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Polina Dmitrieva shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data or translation errors.
All content in the App, including the dictionary database, design, code, and AI-generated explanations, is owned by or licensed to the Developer. The Hebrew language content and linguistic data are used for educational purposes.
The App integrates with third-party services including Anthropic Claude API, Google Firebase, and Apple services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time. We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the App after changes to the Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Israel.
