These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the AlefBet — Hebrew Dictionary mobile application ("App") developed by Ilia Liubimov ("Developer", "we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
By accessing or using AlefBet, you confirm that you are at least 4 years of age (or have parental consent), have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms of Service.
You may not:
Free Tier: The App is available for free and includes the A1–A2 core of the dictionary, up to 20 favorites, and flashcards for the free levels.
AlefBet Pro: A paid subscription unlocks the full dictionary across all CEFR levels, unlimited favorites, and flashcards for every level. Subscription options include:
Free Trial: New subscribers may be eligible for a free trial period. The trial automatically converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancellation: You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings. No refunds are provided for the current subscription period upon cancellation.
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policy.
The dictionary content is compiled and curated from linguistic sources for educational use. While we work hard to keep it accurate, entries may occasionally contain errors or omissions. We do not guarantee that every entry is complete or correct.
If you find a mistake, please use the in-app "Report a Problem" feature. Do not rely solely on this App for critical or professional needs.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ilia Liubimov shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data or content errors.
All content in the App, including the dictionary database, design, and code, is owned by or licensed to the Developer. The Hebrew language content and linguistic data are used for educational purposes.
The App integrates with third-party services including Google Firebase (for error reports) and Apple services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time. We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the App after changes to the Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Israel.
